Scriptures to encourage you while you wait on God

Scriptures to encourage you while you wait on God

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. My name is Bidemi but everyone calls me Bibi. Thanks for clicking my link, I love and appreciate you. If you haven’t read my most recent post, kindly do so here before you proceed with the post of today. Remember, Jesus loves you so much. Nothing can separate you from his thick and fierce love.

Today, I want to encourage someone with the written word of God. You may be in a discouraging situation, perhaps you're feeling hopeless. I want you to be rest assured that God is on your side. Sometimes you may not feel like He is with you as you go through life, but I want you to see His words for yourself.

I believe these powerful words will help you hold on to God and not let go of Him throughout the phases you encounter. God loves you, you have to keep telling yourself this truth whenever you can. He is very intentional about you. Nothing that you experiences catches Him by surprise.

Scriptures that inspires trust in God

God has been tested and trusted for generations and generations in times of trouble. If you flashback to the testimonies that you've heard, you know he is able.

Psalm 46:1-3 (TLB)
God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. 2 And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea. 3 Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble!

God is constantly on your side, don't fret or panic. He is glued to you and you as a believer have the Holy Spirit to prove this truth.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Enter a mode of thanksgiving anythime you sense that you are about to panic. In your praise, let him know your heart. Pour it all at His feet. Let Him be the only thing you focus on throughout the storm.

Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG)
6-7 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

He wants to take your problems and give you his yoke. Accept His request today. Let Him take it from you. You have tried on your own, let Him step in and take over.

Matthew 11:28-29 (NIV)
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Isaiah 40:29-31 (NLT)
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

This God that we serve is more than able to do it all. Trust Him, let Him show up big like He always does.

Philippians 4:19 (AMPC)
19 And my God will liberally supply ([a]fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

The situations we face on earth can not be compared to the glory that awaits us in eternity. Relax, change perspectives.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NIV)
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

What is the situation that is putting you in a frenzy? Is it your health? Is it financial? Is it marital? What is giving a child of God anxiety? Listen to what God is saying in this verse below.

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God is on your side. He does not need to afflict you to get glory to His name. His plan is good for you, there's no disaster in His grand plan for your life.

Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)
11 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

I all have to say to this verse below is Yes and Amen. It is so for everyone reading right now in Jesus name.

Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

You matter more than the animals we see and they lack for nothing. God is so mindful about you, He will take care of you. Keep on trusting!

Matthew 6:25-34 (MSG)
25-26 “If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

If God has promised that He will do it, He will do it. His words are worth more than the words of the richest man on earth.

Numbers 23:19 (KJV)
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

I left this verse for last because, in Christ, all God's promises are Yes and Amen. It is done because of the sacrifice of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (AMPC)
20 For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.

Here is a song that encourages me while I'm waiting for God's word to come to pass in my life. It may be a source of blessing to you as well.

It is my prayer that you shall be testifying of God's goodness in the land that He has given you. Stay in His love as you go through life. He loves you!

With love,
Bibi

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast  By Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello, welcome to my blog. If you clicked on this link it’s either you’re fasting already or are planning to fast. The good thing is you’re planning to have an effective fast by seeking all the information you can get on this. I won’t waste much of your time and I’ll get into it. Don’ts of fasting -  Have a Transactional mindset : A long time ago I thought fasting was about doing something so God will bless you. This led to a string of disappointment because I never got what I wanted from him. After all, I deprived myself for God but He didn’t do his part. We must first understand that fasting is not to move God, it’s to help us align with the move he’s made. The bible says in Ephesians 1.3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. God is always on our side, we need not deal with him on a transaction basis. ...

What does it mean to be complete in Christ?

What does it mean to be complete in Christ? When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see someone who is imperfect and lacking in many areas? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking these thoughts? God is angry with me. I’m too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me. Why would God want to be with me when I’m a hot mess. Let me give you a secret, it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think. All that matters is what God has said in His word. His word says you are Complete in Christ! You are whole! Nothing missing, nothing lost, nothing broken! This is not by your deeds or something you are on your own. This is because you're in Christ!  Are you in Christ? Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [a]bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [b]principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10 (TPT) For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him . We are co...
