How do I know God loves me?

How do I know God loves me? by Toyosi Adegunle Trust me, almost every believer at some point in their journey with God has asked this same question and truly wondered and sought for proof that they are loved by God.  We are often told by friends, family, songs, movies, pictures, and mostly Preachers that “God loves you”. Sometimes, it can just start to look like theory, especially in difficult times where you aren’t actually 'seeing’ or experiencing the love of God. Where is His love then? How do you know God loves you? In those moments when you are overwhelmed, sad, weak, you probably just lost your job or loved one, you’re not where you are supposed to be, you don’t have all that you wish for, you are struggling with a habit that you really want to stop, you had a really rough day, you are battling an ailment or sickness, things aren’t going well for you, you pray so hard, yet things are not working fine and you just have one question on your mind - “does God really love me...

How to overcome the fear of evangelism

How to overcome the fear of evangelism by Toyosi Adegunle and Bibi Babatunde Ikotun Growing up, I always low key commended people that evangelize and preach the gospel on streets, in public, I always almost say I’ll never be found doing that. I didn’t have anything against the gospel and I absolutely loved the Lord as a child. When they share tracts, I mostly trashed them because I couldn’t relate to most of the things they wrote about. One of the things I’m grateful for as an undergraduate is my campus fellowship’s culture of going out in groups to preach the gospel basically shares the word of God with someone. This helped me to break the barrier of “I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to tell anyone about Jesus’”.  Truth be told, I was afraid and felt unworthy to share the word with someone, thankfully, that was broken. The world is changing, several schools of thought are evolving and now more than ever is the time to proclaim the word of God through every possible means you have ac...

How to forget the past and walk in newness

How to forget the past and walk in newness by Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello everyone, I trust you're doing well. Thank you so much for clicking my link, I appreciate your support and interest in this post. This post is inspired by a mentoring session I did over the weekend with approximately 200 teenagers. I believe this will bless you, don't forget to leave the comment below and share with your loved ones.  Before I dive into why you should forget the past and walk in newness, I'll like to tell you that GOD IS NOT ANGRY WITH YOU! I don't care who has told you in the past that God was angry with you because of your actions. They may be angry with you but God isn't angry with you. This is important for you to know because the Word of God says it.  2 Corinthians 5:19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. What does it mean to reconcile? It means to r...

Please, renew your mind

Please, renew your mind by Gbenro Selere Edited by Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hi everyone, first of all, I'd like to say a big thank you to Bibi for an opportunity to share my thoughts on her blog. I don't take this for granted. Please be kind to me as you read, I am not yet a prolific writer but I believe this will bless and encourage you.  Pedicure and Cleanliness   Every lady can probably relate to this, but I hope the message can appeal to both genders. I recently had a pedicure, and while having my feet scrubbed and my nails cleaned, I had a revelation from the Holy Spirit that I would like to share. You know when doing a pedicure, there are 3 things involved: Place the feet in hot/mild warm water to soften the skin Clear old cuticles from the nails and polish where necessary Scrub underneath the feet This process although sounds very brief actually takes about an hour or more for a proper clean. This pedicure session that I did was after taking a 6 months break from gett...
