Priortize your spiritual growth this year

by Toyosi Adegunle

Hey Fam!

This would be our first contact this year, so, from me and mine, www.bibilamour04.com (what were you expecting? 👀😂 ), I wish you a very beautiful year laced with the wisdom, strength, and mercies of God. I'm super excited to be in 2021 with you, and I want you to see it as another opportunity to live every day for Jesus, because If it's not about Jesus, what or who is it about?

As always, when men say there's a casting down, you will say there's a lifting up. 2021 may not be the easiest or smoothest ride, but best believe, it would be for you because through it all, God is with you. The Word of God did not promise us a smooth sail in life always, but promised strength, grace, and victory every time, in all these things, you are more than a conqueror.

In the very words of a friend, the reason for another second, minute, hour, day, week, month, or year is because of the gospel, your spiritual growth, and your relationship with the father. This year, more than ever before, prioritize spiritual growth and maturity and the things of God. If you did well last year with the things of God and your spiritual growth, this is the time to do better because life depends on it.

Romans 1:16 (NKJV)"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

Let's talk about the gospel, think about your salvation story, imagine if you never got a nudge from anyone to be born again, you never heard anyone speak to you about the gospel enough to make you surrender and give it all to Jesus, you probably would not be reading this right now. Now, do mental censors of the believers you know and have in your circle, imagine if they never got the nudge too and are yet to believe in Jesus and the power of resurrection, It would be an OMO! moment, because I'd ask myself, "how would you do life?".

3 reasons to spread the gospel

Here are 3 reasons you need to take the propagation of the gospel more seriously this year:

As a believer, you are called to the ministry of reconciliation, that is, it is your responsibility to preach the gospel and bridge the gap between unbelievers and God - God loves them also and he wants to have them in his corner. You have to make the first move, share the gospel, the love and light of God.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21(NIV) All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

One shall chase a thousand, two shall chase ten thousand. We will be many that will conquer the world together in love, light, and glory. Bliss!

It is the power of God to salvation. You have the power already, so, why not share it and let someone else have it too.

Romans 1:16 (NKJV)"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek."

This year, pray more, fast more, love God and his children more, study more, write more, speak more about the things of God, create more videos about the things of God, attend fellowship more, read more articles about the things of God and be more open to God.

This year, be unapologetically bold for the gospel!

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast  By Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello, welcome to my blog. If you clicked on this link it’s either you’re fasting already or are planning to fast. The good thing is you’re planning to have an effective fast by seeking all the information you can get on this. I won’t waste much of your time and I’ll get into it. Don’ts of fasting -  Have a Transactional mindset : A long time ago I thought fasting was about doing something so God will bless you. This led to a string of disappointment because I never got what I wanted from him. After all, I deprived myself for God but He didn’t do his part. We must first understand that fasting is not to move God, it’s to help us align with the move he’s made. The bible says in Ephesians 1.3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. God is always on our side, we need not deal with him on a transaction basis. ...

What does it mean to be complete in Christ?

What does it mean to be complete in Christ? When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see someone who is imperfect and lacking in many areas? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking these thoughts? God is angry with me. I’m too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me. Why would God want to be with me when I’m a hot mess. Let me give you a secret, it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think. All that matters is what God has said in His word. His word says you are Complete in Christ! You are whole! Nothing missing, nothing lost, nothing broken! This is not by your deeds or something you are on your own. This is because you're in Christ!  Are you in Christ? Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [a]bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [b]principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10 (TPT) For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him . We are co...
