You're loved, with your faults
Sometimes, this knowledge might be the thing that just keeps you going. God is love. He truly is the replica of love. He represents how we should love people because it’s void of any incompetency. It is unconditional, it is not transactional. You don’t have to do or be something for God to love you. All you have to do is accept that love, live in it, and let it help you become closer to him and the best version of yourself daily.
Let’s talk about being flawed. Oxford defines ‘flawed’ as having or being characterized by a fundamental weakness or imperfection. Keyword, fundamental. Flaws are a fundamental human element. No human on earth is perfect. We are all flawed, a little bit more or less than each other and that's the essence of our journey as Christians - working towards being like Christ who lived an exemplary life not just living and growing in the love of God but also showing it. Through our relative flaws, one thing is constant, God’s love and desire to see you outgrow your flaws.
There are people, Christians who understand that they are flawed, and understand the place of God’s love and help available for them. They also genuinely and consciously want to outgrow it. On the flip side, there are people who know this for a fact but intentionally get deeper into a lot of ungodly acts but say or think things like “God loves me, I'm covered. I'm forgiven.” These things are true but what does that say about your journey and growth process as a believer? It's important to take God at His word and partner with him to work in you. His love is pure and with the capacity to save and also make your life better. Always allow God to work in you and through you.
The nature of God's love is
● Kind
● Longsuffering
● Not puffed up
● Not rejoicing in iniquity
● the kind that rejoices in the truth
● the kind that bears, hopes, believes and endures all things
Love is very fundamental in our believer's journey. Ever wonder where the term ‘Love walk’ actually came from? I have a theory (which is quite apparent) that we are on a journey of love, in love, with love. We are because someone loved us enough to save us eternally.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”- John 3:16 NKJV
It is the greatest love ever. You can't but appreciate the love of God, love it and show it to people around you.
