Are Babymoons Still Worth It? My Relaxing Escape to Hilton All-Inclusive Cancun

Are Babymoons Still Worth It? My Relaxing Escape to Hilton All-Inclusive Cancun

As I entered the final stretch of pregnancy, the idea of a babymoon lingered in my mind. Was it worth the effort, cost, and planning? Would I even enjoy it, given how tired I already felt? Ultimately, I decided to go for it, choosing the Hilton All-Inclusive Cancun as our destination. Spoiler alert: it was absolutely worth it—but not in the way I initially imagined.

Redefining the Babymoon: Prioritizing Rest Over Activities

Unlike the packed itineraries I’d planned for past vacations, this trip was all about rest. No excursions, no long days of sightseeing—just pure relaxation. I gave myself permission to listen to my body and do exactly what felt right: sleeping in, lounging in bed, and savoring the peace of uninterrupted quiet.

This mindset turned out to be exactly what I needed. The cozy Hilton suite became my sanctuary, with its plush bedding, blackout curtains, and an endless supply of room service. Honestly, some of my favorite moments were spent simply enjoying the view from our room and relishing the stillness.

The Culinary Highlights: Chimichurri, Steak, and Pure Bliss

While I skipped the high-energy activities, I fully indulged in one of the best parts of any vacation: the food. The room service at Hilton Cancun was a dream. Their steak, paired with an incredible chimichurri sauce, was so delicious that I ordered it more than once!

The resort's restaurants were another highlight. With a variety of cuisines and flavors, every meal felt like a mini celebration. Whether I was dining out or enjoying a quiet meal in the room, the all-inclusive experience meant I could savor every bite without worrying about logistics or bills.

Staying Safe and Comfortable: Reducing the Risk of Zika

For anyone concerned about travel during pregnancy, particularly in areas where the Zika virus has been a past concern, I took extra precautions to ensure peace of mind. I spent most of my time indoors or in shaded areas, avoiding water bodies like pools and lagoons where mosquitoes might linger. This strategy worked perfectly for me, allowing me to relax while minimizing any health risks.

Why My Babymoon Was Worth It

This babymoon wasn’t about ticking off activities or packing in adventure—it was about preparing for one of life’s biggest milestones with a full heart and a rested body. By prioritizing rest, I gave myself the gift of stillness and rejuvenation, which is exactly what I needed before stepping into the beautiful chaos of parenthood.

For anyone wondering if babymoons are still worth it: absolutely yes—but only if you make it about what you truly need. For me, that was Hilton Cancun’s comforting luxury, incredible food, and permission to take it slow.

So, if you’re considering a babymoon, my advice is simple: listen to yourself. Whether that means days filled with adventure or just relaxing in bed, make it your own. Because, trust me, you deserve it.

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast  By Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello, welcome to my blog. If you clicked on this link it’s either you’re fasting already or are planning to fast. The good thing is you’re planning to have an effective fast by seeking all the information you can get on this. I won’t waste much of your time and I’ll get into it. Don’ts of fasting -  Have a Transactional mindset : A long time ago I thought fasting was about doing something so God will bless you. This led to a string of disappointment because I never got what I wanted from him. After all, I deprived myself for God but He didn’t do his part. We must first understand that fasting is not to move God, it’s to help us align with the move he’s made. The bible says in Ephesians 1.3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. God is always on our side, we need not deal with him on a transaction basis. ...

What does it mean to be complete in Christ?

What does it mean to be complete in Christ? When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see someone who is imperfect and lacking in many areas? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking these thoughts? God is angry with me. I’m too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me. Why would God want to be with me when I’m a hot mess. Let me give you a secret, it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think. All that matters is what God has said in His word. His word says you are Complete in Christ! You are whole! Nothing missing, nothing lost, nothing broken! This is not by your deeds or something you are on your own. This is because you're in Christ!  Are you in Christ? Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [a]bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [b]principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10 (TPT) For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him . We are co...

Prayers as we end the year

Prayers as we end the year by Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun I can't believe this year is wrapping up already, we said Happy New Year last week not too long ago and now we're about to say Happy New Year again. We give God all the thanks for another year. You may be thinking, why should I be thankful after everything I experienced this year? And I know that feeling too well. Be that as it may, it is a biblical instruction to remain thankful. There's a lot to say thank you for. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition) Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. So yes, give thanks to the God of your salvation. Thanksgiving is good for your soul, it helps you remain grounded and grateful.  I love to plan stuff and I wanted to share some of the prayer points that God has laid on my heart for the coming year. I hope y...
