Our Positive Birth Story: Induced at 37 Weeks and Blessed with a Beautiful Experience

I’m thrilled to share our positive birth story, a journey that was both surprising and beautiful. If you’re searching for insights about being induced, labor experiences, or inspiration for your own birth journey, I hope this story brings encouragement and joy.

The Unexpected Start: My Water Broke at 37 Weeks

At just 37 weeks pregnant, I was still finishing up the last-minute preparations for my baby’s arrival when life decided to surprise us—my water broke!

I hadn’t expected my pregnancy to end this early, so I quickly sought advice from my medical team. They decided I would need to be induced, as my body wasn’t progressing naturally. I had heard mixed stories about induction, so I prayed and trusted that everything would go smoothly.

Induction and a Beautiful Birth Experience

To my surprise, being induced was much smoother than I anticipated. My care team was incredibly supportive, ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. While labor was intense (as expected!), it was also empowering and positive.

When I finally held my baby in my arms, all the challenges and uncertainties faded away. That magical moment made everything worthwhile.

Faith and Gratitude

Reflecting on this experience, my heart overflows with gratitude. I’m deeply thankful to God, my family, and the amazing healthcare providers who made this birth such a positive and uplifting experience.

I also want to send a heartfelt prayer to anyone who is longing for a child: May God answer your prayers soon, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Watch Our Birth Vlog

If you’re curious about the details, I’ve shared our birth vlog to document this incredible journey. It’s a glimpse into what it was like to be induced at 37 weeks and how we embraced the unexpected.

Tips for a Positive Birth Experience

For those preparing for labor or delivery, here are a few lessons from my journey:

  1. Trust your care team: They’re there to support and guide you.
  2. Stay flexible: Birth plans are great, but sometimes life has its own timeline.
  3. Lean on God: Don't trust in your own understanding but in God.

Final Thoughts on Our Positive Birth Story

This experience taught me that even unexpected situations can turn out beautifully. Whether you’re preparing for labor or simply looking for inspiration, know that your journey is uniquely yours—and it’s always worth celebrating.

Thank you for sharing in my story!

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast  By Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello, welcome to my blog. If you clicked on this link it’s either you’re fasting already or are planning to fast. The good thing is you’re planning to have an effective fast by seeking all the information you can get on this. I won’t waste much of your time and I’ll get into it. Don’ts of fasting -  Have a Transactional mindset : A long time ago I thought fasting was about doing something so God will bless you. This led to a string of disappointment because I never got what I wanted from him. After all, I deprived myself for God but He didn’t do his part. We must first understand that fasting is not to move God, it’s to help us align with the move he’s made. The bible says in Ephesians 1.3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. God is always on our side, we need not deal with him on a transaction basis. ...

What does it mean to be complete in Christ?

What does it mean to be complete in Christ? When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see someone who is imperfect and lacking in many areas? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking these thoughts? God is angry with me. I’m too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me. Why would God want to be with me when I’m a hot mess. Let me give you a secret, it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think. All that matters is what God has said in His word. His word says you are Complete in Christ! You are whole! Nothing missing, nothing lost, nothing broken! This is not by your deeds or something you are on your own. This is because you're in Christ!  Are you in Christ? Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [a]bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [b]principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10 (TPT) For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him . We are co...

Prayers as we end the year

Prayers as we end the year by Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun I can't believe this year is wrapping up already, we said Happy New Year last week not too long ago and now we're about to say Happy New Year again. We give God all the thanks for another year. You may be thinking, why should I be thankful after everything I experienced this year? And I know that feeling too well. Be that as it may, it is a biblical instruction to remain thankful. There's a lot to say thank you for. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition) Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. So yes, give thanks to the God of your salvation. Thanksgiving is good for your soul, it helps you remain grounded and grateful.  I love to plan stuff and I wanted to share some of the prayer points that God has laid on my heart for the coming year. I hope y...
