The Most Special Baby Surprise: A Celebration of Love, Laughter, and Pink!

The Most Special Baby Surprise: A Celebration of Love, Laughter, and Pink!

There are moments in life that remind you just how loved and supported you are—and my baby surprise was one of those unforgettable moments. From the laughter, joy, and heartfelt wishes to a sea of pink décor, every detail was perfect. I felt so cherished by my incredible friends and family, and it’s a day I’ll treasure forever.

A Baby Shower Filled with Love and Tradition

In my culture, baby showers are more than just a celebration—they’re a collective expression of love and community. True to tradition, my amazing friends took the lead in organizing and paying for the event, leaving me in awe of their generosity and thoughtfulness.

The only thing I requested? That they make it as pink as possible to celebrate the little girl we’re so excited to welcome into the world. And they delivered! From pink balloons and flowers to pink desserts and drinks, it was like stepping into a cotton candy dream.

Family Love from Afar

While my family from around the world couldn’t be there in person, they found the most thoughtful way to be part of the celebration. They sent a series of heartfelt video messages that had me tearing up in the middle of the party. Their words of encouragement, blessings, and love made me feel like they were right there with me, even from thousands of miles away.

The Sweetest Surprise: My Husband on the Dance Floor

Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, my husband stole the show with a surprise on the dance floor as we were welcomed into the party. I’ll never forget the moment he started dancing because he is an introvert and we rarely see that side of him. His eyes shone with pride and joy. It was such a sweet gesture that made me fall in love with him all over again.

A Day to Remember

And let’s not forget how stunning I looked! 😉 My friends made sure I felt like the star of the day, and I couldn’t help but glow with happiness and gratitude. The whole event was a beautiful celebration of not just my baby, but also the love and support that surrounds us as we prepare for this exciting new chapter.

To my friends, family, and everyone who made this day so special: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love, effort, and thoughtfulness mean more to me than words can say.

For anyone planning a baby celebration, my advice is simple: let the people who love you take the reins, and enjoy every moment of the day. It’s not just about the decorations or the food (although, yes, pink cupcakes for the win!); it’s about celebrating the amazing community that’s walking this journey with you.

Here’s to love, laughter, and new beginnings! 💕

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast

Do’s and Don’ts of a spiritual fast  By Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun Hello, welcome to my blog. If you clicked on this link it’s either you’re fasting already or are planning to fast. The good thing is you’re planning to have an effective fast by seeking all the information you can get on this. I won’t waste much of your time and I’ll get into it. Don’ts of fasting -  Have a Transactional mindset : A long time ago I thought fasting was about doing something so God will bless you. This led to a string of disappointment because I never got what I wanted from him. After all, I deprived myself for God but He didn’t do his part. We must first understand that fasting is not to move God, it’s to help us align with the move he’s made. The bible says in Ephesians 1.3 (NKJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. God is always on our side, we need not deal with him on a transaction basis. ...

What does it mean to be complete in Christ?

What does it mean to be complete in Christ? When you look at yourself, what do you see? Do you see someone who is imperfect and lacking in many areas? Do you sometimes find yourself thinking these thoughts? God is angry with me. I’m too dirty and damaged for Him to accept me. Why would God want to be with me when I’m a hot mess. Let me give you a secret, it doesn't matter how you feel or what you think. All that matters is what God has said in His word. His word says you are Complete in Christ! You are whole! Nothing missing, nothing lost, nothing broken! This is not by your deeds or something you are on your own. This is because you're in Christ!  Are you in Christ? Colossians 2:9-10 (NKJV) For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [a]bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all [b]principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10 (TPT) For he is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. 10 And our own completeness is now found in him . We are co...

Prayers as we end the year

Prayers as we end the year by Bibi Babatunde-Ikotun I can't believe this year is wrapping up already, we said Happy New Year last week not too long ago and now we're about to say Happy New Year again. We give God all the thanks for another year. You may be thinking, why should I be thankful after everything I experienced this year? And I know that feeling too well. Be that as it may, it is a biblical instruction to remain thankful. There's a lot to say thank you for. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition) Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. So yes, give thanks to the God of your salvation. Thanksgiving is good for your soul, it helps you remain grounded and grateful.  I love to plan stuff and I wanted to share some of the prayer points that God has laid on my heart for the coming year. I hope y...
